The mountain is female. Already the brand name itself embodies the feminine perspective on the mountain: “La Munt” is the Ladin word for “the mountain” - which is in the ancient romance language. It sounds melodic and rough, feminine and strong.
The idea for the name came from our founder’s grandmother who grew up in Alta Badia, a region in the heart of the Dolomites, where Ladin is still today used as an everyday language.
