What do LaMunt for community work and sustainability?

Our products are made in factories that have signed our Code of Conduct and are subject to our internal human rights due diligence processes. This enables us to identify, prevent, mitigate, and address risks and negative impacts that may occur along the supply chain. All textile factories producing finished goods are monitored every three years through independent assessments carried out in the local language by expert teams. These assessments include worker interviews, health and safety checks, and an in depth review of documents such as payslips, working hour records and employment contracts. We evaluate each supplier using an internal metric that considers the results of monitoring visits and progress on corrective action plans. This system helps us identify recurring issues, develop effective methods to address them, and understand whether our actions are contributing to improved working conditions. LaMunt is a member of the Fair Wear Foundation, a multi stakeholder initiative dedicated to improving working conditions in the textile sector. Membership supports us in implementing human rights due diligence processes in our finished product supply chain. It also promotes access to protection mechanisms for workers and evaluates our commitment and actions through the annual Brand Performance Check. Although our commitment and efforts are substantial, they cannot guarantee a supply chain entirely free from risks or harm. This is why we continue to seek better solutions every day.

We use our stringent in-house guidelines, combined with international standards and organisations to help us in ensuring we make products that have as little impact as possible on the environment and the people who make them. We are members of the Fair Wear Foundation to improve working conditions and social standards throughout the supply chain. The Oberalp Chemical Policy, which exceeds legal standards on the use and restrictions of chemicals, guides us through the testing phase. From the beginning, we made a conscious decision to ensure that the water-repellent function of our fabrics would not adversely affect human or animal health. To do so, we chose to use durable water-repellent finishes free of harmful per-polyfluorinated compounds (PFAs).

We are the first mountain sports brand to use post-industrial recycled cashmere as a sustainable fill option in our insulated jackets. Its thermoregulating properties are second-to-none and its environmental footprint is much lighter than traditional fill materials.
